New Product Development – we’ve created everything from new cars to breakthrough pre-planned funeral ideas and just about everything in between...

NEW BEVERAGE CREATION – we worked with the largest sports beverage maker to fill their development pipeline with strong concepts. After six attempts the “traditional” way and creating the same ideas six times, they called us. We worked with consumers and their team to develop 10 growth platforms, or areas they can work time and again to create new products. We then helped them create more than 70 written concepts. Since they couldn’t test all the ideas, we worked with them to identify those that best fit with their objectives, brand and consumers. They selected 12 concepts to test. 8 of the 12 received top scores, with one setting a new record.

HOUSEHOLD CLEANER DEVELOPMENT– we worked with a global development team to create concepts for BASES testing. The team was feeling the pressures from private label as well as their competitors and they were caught in a commodity marketplace crunch. We brought their marketing and R&D teams together to create new product ideas and created more than 25 concepts that were good enough for testing. Not only did they get top BASES scores, they filed for patents on more than a handful of the ideas!


NEW BRAND DEVELOPMENT – worked with LARGE CPG company to first prove that there was a huge opportunity and money to be made in a specific category...we then spent 7.5 months running rapid test and learn cycles to discover the winning idea. The result, a new brand that revolutionized how they “do” business.

SERVICES

INSURANCE – it’s one very tough marketplace that’s full of skeptics and very complicated offerings. We worked to create a collection of promotions and marketing ideas that helped increase policy issuance by nearly 30%. The ideas we created also helped our client maintain a higher price point, so they got new customers and they made more money!

COMMUNICATIONS – we’ve worked on mobile phone marketing for pre-paid phones, in-home satellite systems and old-world calling plans but our most memorable session in this area was working on the yellow pages. They were struggling for advertisers and seeing dramatic declines in users, but other than that, they were fine. We worked with them to create new products and services that would help them capitalize on this new thing called the Internet. We also helped them develop some meaningful new packages that got advertisers excited and recommitted!

FINANCIAL SERVICES

RETAIL BANKING – worked with a large national bank to reinvent retail banking...using our process, they were done in 1/3rd of the time and saved about 80% in consulting and research fees alone.

NEW BUSINESS OFFERING – we worked with the world’s premier card company to create a new ultra-premium offering. After months of creating, developing and testing, we identified a complete offering that had a great user promise, a strong product/service reality and a fantastic business case. A new division was created and the card launched about four years later. It is still in market today – with a waiting list of more than 1,000 people!
