Buying Inventions!
Within the next week or so we will be announcing a new service where we purchase inventions on behalf of clients.
The idea for this service has been a long time in coming.
It grew out of my time as judge on American Inventor.
IT IS NOT an invention promotion company - rather we will be INVENTION BUYERS
What has happened is that Eureka! Ranch clients have in effect outsourced the cleaning, screening and licensing of inventions to us.

invention services
You have plenty of clients. On your companies wish list for invention purchasing, is it a matter of time where more of your clients jump on board with this process that you are providing for inventors? The reason why I ask is because what I see on your wish list for purchasing invetions doesn't fit my invetion idea. But I see you do have clients that do business with your ranch that would benifit from my invention idea. So I ask again, is it a matter of time that more of your clients jump on board with paying your ranch to do invention evaluations. Your current list is limited, but I guess that is to be expected because this process is so new. I as an inventor would really like to go through your services because through most of the reaserch I have done, the Ranch is the best place to go to. So please keep us updated. I'm looking for a client like AT&T. I'll keep checking the web site. Thanks for the time!

Doug, I was regretably on American Inventor 2 this year...I went for your opinion...I was told you'd be a judge on IdeaNextStep.com's contest...you weren't. I won. Could you please check out my idea at FireLightSafetySwitch.com. I value your opinion and guidance. Thanks...Tony
Sorry
Sorry - I was on the road and was not able to get connected to the internet
I LIKE your invention a lot more than the Christmas Tree thing from this year's American Inventor.
The benefit is clear - the target occasion (night) is clear - and I'm assuming the technology is straightforward.
On the show I would have "pushed you" on the tradeoff off of cost of adding a light to a smoke detector (if that's legal) versus adding a separate unit that works with the house system.
I'd also challenge you to think bigger -- i.e. could you use X10 technology or a home wireless network to turn an ordinary smoke alarm into a low cost alarm system that dials a central system for help.

Firelight Safety Switch
Thank you for looking over the FireLight Safety Switch. If I could, I'd like to quickly address the two questions/ suggestions you had. There is no trade off. They have smoke detectors with built in lights, however, they are the equivalent of a small flashlight with a tiny beam. To escape a fire easily, you would need 20 smoke detectors on your route out. The concept is to use the existing lights which would be already adequate because I assume you light your house to see at night. As far as X10 tech. I could be used with that system quite well BUT our idea is to help the people who have the most fires. The middle class and the poor. X10...****, most people don't even have a sensor light! If you could find the time, I'd be highly honored if you could check out my web site FireLightSafetySwitch.com There is another product I've come up with along the same lines...The Home Emergency Lighting Protector or H.E.L.P.. If you could, it be a little something that has been right in an inventing world gone so wrong...Thanks ...Tony
